The Macmillan quiz night that
was to be held on 9 March is now a grand
Quiz Night to celebrate the Queen's
Diamond Jubilee and at the same
time raise funds for the Margaret Kerr
Palliative Care Unit at the Borders
general Hospital. This will be one of
several quizzes to be held around
Berwickshire on the same night. The
winner in Coldstream will go forward to
a Grand Finale later in March.
The theme for the quiz will be "The Last
60 Years". The organisers - Johnny
Fulton, Harry Brydon and Will Murray
have promised an interesting and
entertaining evening, with questions
that are not heavy and historical, but
suitable for all.
The eventual winners of the Berwickshire
quiz team title will be asked to
nominate 2 people to sail in the Lord
Lieutenancy of Berwickshire boat in the
'1000 Boat Thames Pageant on 3 June. the
2 people can be members of the team or
any other individuals the team decides
to nominate.
If you are interested in entering a team
of 4 people the cost is £10 (remember
the money is for a palliative care
unit). Let Harry Brydon know at 01890
882123 or
harrybrydon@googlemail.com. If you
don't want to enter a team come along
and cheer on your favourites at the
Community Centre on Friday 9 March 2012.
